RISE BRANDS

Back in early 2022, I was looking for a cool project and my buddy Jared, the then-Creative Director of Rise Brands, gave me a holler since Rise’s Social Media Coordinator had left and they were looking for someone who could fill in their marketing gaps on a contract basis.

After a couple weeks of copywriting, posting and content-creating at Rise, the team realized “Holy shit, this guy really knows he’s doing,” so they created the Social Media Manager position for me and made me a full-time member of the crew.

And good thing, too. There was ZERO social media marketing framework when I arrived, so in the midst of being a solo act managing the presence of 4 different brands — Pins Mechanical Co., 16-Bit Bar+Arcade, Weenie Wonder and Rise Brands — across 20 different accounts across 4 different social networks… <deep breath>… I defined, launched and led the social media strategies and tactics needed to drive store traffic and big-time reach and engagement across all Rise’s social channels. (Then we hired an intern and a social coordinator to help me out, because holy schnikes that was a lot.)

And boy did the planning work. With so many brands and store locations at its fingertips, we were able to create a nationwide content network and follower funnel, increasing average YoY follower rates by 10% and average post reach by 767% while maintaining and communicating brand aesthetic and values. Oh, and we got millions of organic views on next to zero dollars.

Not too bad. Not too bad, at all.
