<tap, tap, tap> Is this thing on?

Hey, I’m Matt Cook. I’m a longtime social media marketing professional with more seasoning than an Arby’s curly fry.

I’ve fit A LOT of living into my 4 decades on the planet. Here’s a sample: first chair French horn player, granite counter top installer, wannabe performance artist, FedEx delivery driver, amateur Muay Thai fighter, elk intimidator, multiple time viewer of The Wire, plus 2 shoulder surgeries and 3 dogs (so far). My breadth of life experience has allowed me to participate in humanity at so many different levels. And that’s why I’m so damn good at what I do: teach brands how to act human.

My philosophy is this: When social media took over in the early oughts, users weren’t flocking to Facebook and MySpace to discover their favorite brands; they were there to find their family and friends. Over time, marketing entertainment has become more prominent and welcomed on social, but the fact still remains: users are on social for a human experience, not a brand experience.

That’s where I come in. “Being human” goes beyond good customer service. It’s speaking the ever-evolving language of social media. It’s making some content look polished, but knowing sometimes, the more user-generated it appears, the more reach and trust it builds. It’s knowing what content to post on what platform and when, so you don’t make your brand look like that Steve Buscemi “Fellow Kids” meme. It’s… a lot.

If you’re looking for the guy who is going to master your brand voice and content, hone in on your company’s creative strengths and have a damn good time doing it, I’m your curly fry, so drop me a word below and let’s grow your business together.
